Announcement Request


 

PURPOSE:     To publicize an event during Sunday service through the weekly church bulletin, slides, verbal and/or video announcements.

 

WHEN:           Your ministry has information or reminders that need to be communicated to the congregation.

                        Examples: ministry opportunities, special events, meetings, workshops

 

WHO:             Contact Marilyn for all requests, approvals, questions & concerns.

 

HOW:             1)  Complete this form.

                       

                          - Important Information to Include:            

                                    - Title of Event

                                    - Date, location & time

                                    - Contact Information (Name, Phone#, Email)

                       

                        2)  Submit form 

                                               

DUE DATES:  All written, slide, verbal, highlights or video requests are due in the Church

Office at least two Mondays prior to requested date. (The actual video is also due with the request. Please queue video to starting place. )

 

QUESTIONS:

When should I start running my announcement?

  • At least 3-4 weeks before the event for highest exposure.

 How long can my announcement run?

  • Written – Several weeks, no more than one month for effectiveness.
  • Slide – Any two times during your written announcement.
  • Highlight – two weeks max. (Because this affects the flow of the service, it is subject to approval from staff. The date may differ from what you requested.)
  •  Verbal – one week (Because this affects the flow of the service, it is subject to approval from staff and may be reduced to a highlight.)
  •  Video – one week (Because this affects the flow of the service, it is subject to approval from staff.)

 Can I phone in my announcement?

  • NO! Only written requests received through mailbox, mail, e-mail, or fax will be accepted.

When can I request a verbal, highlight or video spot?

  • Verbals, highlights and video requests should be made at the same time as written announcement requests. It will be up to the discretion of the CLC staff team to determine if your request fits within the scope of the worship service for that particular service. That means that we will try to accommodate your ministry but that we may need to change the date in which you request the spot or change your request to a highlight.
